Thu, 29 June 2006 This is the third take of this podcast. The first one was constantly interrupted and sounded like crap. The second one was better, but ran like 45 minutes long, and I like to keep my shows to under 30 minutes, so ... third times the charm. I've been doing great, an finally got a break from the freelance work, though I know more will be forthcoming. I got my online banking situtation worked out now, and I got great news from my doctor. It turns out my blood-work was normal, and my chest x-ray is normal. Now, I am going for my HIV test this week, and hopefully that will be ok also. I will pray in the affirmative that it is ok, but even if it isn't ... that just means I start treatment now, and protect myself and others. It's not a death-sentence anymore, and I'd still be very hopeful for the future. So, in this episode, I talk briefly about my conversation with an old friend who is in the military in Viriginia. He's an Independant now instead of Republican because the GOP isn't as conservative as he'd thought they should be. Shit! It only took him six years to figure it out, most people it takes much longer. We also discussed the military's view on homosexuals. I am out to my friend, and he's know for years. In other news, for times sake, I only covered one news story: Lastly, I discuss a show comment from David, who hostsThat Blue Jeans Guy podcast. And thank Nillo from the Nillo's Night podcast for his past emails and comments. A big shout-out, hugs and kisses to my friends and family! Sat, 24 June 2006 It's been a little over a week since my last podcast. I'd look to take this podcast from once a week to at least twice a week like I used to ... maybe three times a week ... if I ever get the frickin' time. Ok, so I have been busy as usual, and it's been mostly this freelance work eating into my time. So, in this episode I catch you up on what's been going on with me. Helping people move, doing freelance work, working, and picking up after the dogs. The shedding and the dog hair are now at unbearable levels. Not too mention bailing out my basement after this last big Thunderstorm ... What's a girl to do? It also doesn't help that I'm getting laid as much ... that hurts the ol' moral. Anyway, life could be much worse, and I should be thankful for whatI have ... I'm not dead yet, I just feel like it. So, in more import matters, here is the news:

Wed, 14 June 2006 Happy Gay Pride Season! For those of you into that, I know I am. This past weekend was Gay Pride in Boston, and yes, it was cold, wet, windy, and rainy. The very brave, proud, and stupid came out to view the Gay Pride Parade in Boston. I myself, was in Boston by 10am this past Saturday morning for breaky at a gay bar called Fritz. I guess I started drinking at 11am, with my mimosa's at breakfast. Regardless of the weather, I still had a great time, ran into some old friends, made some new friends, and drank all the while. I left Boston around 4pm, got home, let the dogs out, and fed them. I was planning on going out to my local gay bar, Randolph Country Club, but I had to get some work done on my freelance project. I was working from 8pm Saturday night to 6am Sunday morning. I did get some rest, and when I got back up, it was finally sunny and dry out ... finally. So, did some yard work and mowed the lawn. That's it for Gay Pride for me ... the weekend came and went so fast. Like all the men in my life. :-) So, I got some email from David from That Blue Jeans Guy podcast for his comment on my last show about the video game: "Left Behind: Eternal Forces." He showed me a link for the games review which is: here. It is true, shooting civilians does indeed hurt the player by making their "spirit" to go down. However, the game is still not without controversy. For example, there is another article from the Crooks and Liars web-site about this game which is titled Apocalypse, Now a Lawsuit. And even after that, there is a Wikipedia entry at this WikiPedia: Left Behind: Eternal Forces. It does my heart a world of good when right-wing-nuts have their own in-fighting. So, I guess lastly, I'm experiementing with a new intro filed by a group called Sub-Level-03 and the song is a "Touch Of Pink". I also recorded this show on my new Dell M60 Laptop with Windows XP. Don't worry you Mac users, I still plan on getting a new iMac 17" system soon enough. Right after I get my Marantz PMD 660. Yes, I know I have expensive tastes. Comments[1] |
Sat, 10 June 2006 I record this show almost 24 hours ago and I am just posting it now. I've had an incredible shitty day, and I'm definitely not feeling well ... and tomorrow is Gay Pride in Boston. But, at least I do have a doctors appointment on Tuesday ... I'm not dying, I just feel like it. The whole Federal Marraiage Amendment was a political ploy from the get go, and everyone knows it. Even the supporters knew it wasn't going to pass, and it didn't. I guess El Presidente Fucko didn't listen to his wife. That's ok, this issue just makes the GOP look really desperate in trying to pander to the right-wing "christians." However, how much more do you think they are going to buy it. They have two new conservative justices on the Surpreme Court. The executive branch has been republicunt for 6 years, and the Congress has been majority GOP for longer than that. The right-wing "christians" probably thought they have Roe v. Wade over turned by now, and the ban on same-sex marriage. Maybe the right-wingers have figured out that the only thing the GOP has done for the past 8 years or so ... is line their own pockets. Speaking of right-wing-nut "christians", how about the game "Left Behind: Eternal Forces." Ok, so this pastor who wrote those set of "Left Behind" books now has a "christian" video game coming out this October. You get to be in NYC, and you try to convert catholics, muslims, jews, and gays, and other liberals to "christianity." If they don't convert, you get to kill them while the game shouts "Praise the Lord." Oh yeah, that's a game Jesus would love. And aren't catholics christian already????? After all it is the worlds OLDEST Christian religion ... isn't it? After killing non-converters, you can switch sides and work for the forces of the Anti-Christ and kill "christians." What kind of sick, sad, mental retard, could develop this???? Talk about enforcing bigotry and hatred through religion ... and here I thought it was about something else? Anyway, I rant some more on here, and I'm done ... Comments[2] |
Fri, 2 June 2006 ![]() This podcast is a "Take 2" considering that I recorded the first one on Tuesday. But that show was sooooooo long, I just said screw it and I re-recorded it on Thursday night. I do try to keep my shows down to 30 minutes if I can. This show is about my VERY BUSY time that I had down in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and as usual I stayed at The Ranch. I had a great time there, and I got to meet the new Manager, Todd, and the new house-boys, oops, I mean house-staff. The weather on Friday night wasn't great, but the following Saturday, Sunday, and Monday was awesome, nice, sunny, warm, weather, but not too hot. I ran into an old friend from Boy Scout Camp, and he and I have to get together again in Ptown where he's living now. He say he has a "girlfriend", but we'll see how straight he is when I get him drunk. I made a new friend named Marsell. He's from Brazil, a very smart person, works at the Brass Key in Ptown, and he's also a Feast of Fools listener. The Ranch also had a great BBQ and free beer for their guests that weekend, and I certainly got my fill. Later on that night I got a chance to interview Miss Richfield, a popular drag performer. This was the highlight of my weekend (sad isn't it), but the interview comes at the end this show. I got back Sunday, I couldn't stay until Monday. I was doing some freelance work for extra money, and it's been taking up a lot of my time. I haven't even been able to play any World of Warcraft lately, but that will change once this work is done.
