Sun, 29 January 2006 I'm going to disallow comments about this show and the past shows on LibSyn. The new site can be found at http://deepfab.blogspot.com
My dog Marcie is much better after surgery to remove a diseased part of lung. She's now recuperating at the ex-boyfriends apartment. Deep Fab is moving to Sundays and Tuesdays, and the www.deepfabulousity.com website is going to be pointed to the new site, but we'll still keep the libsyn site and feed. Tue, 24 January 2006 Short podcast tonight ... was gonna talk about a lot of different things, but ...
But one of my 4 dogs is very sick tonight, and could die. If she doesn't die tomorrow, depending on the prognosis ... I may have to euthenize her. Definitely not one of my better, happier, days! Comments[11] |
Thu, 19 January 2006 I don't have much to talk about really. Havne't updated my site yet, haven't listened to any more podsafe music, just being a lazy bastard there. However, I did finally manage to get rid of my 1998 Ford Escort to my "ex", and he is now paying for his own car insurance. Dealing with my "ex" is always an emotional experience. We almost had another fight, but we just left each other and went our seperate ways. It was still tough to ask for my key back ... but it had to be done. Comments[7] |
Mon, 16 January 2006 Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. May Dr. King dream of all men and women living together in harmony with equality for all come to pass. . As you know, I am an Eagle Scout! You can be an "ex"-Boy Scout, but you can't be an "ex"-Eagle Scout. I found the title of this article to very offensive. Boy Scouts Say They're Like KKK Youth For this troop I am working with, I am teaching a merit badge called "Citizenship in the Nation" ... which is an Eagle required badge. I have about 7 kids, and they are in 7th-8th grade. We just went over requirement 6 and 8, let me read you the requirements for 6. "With your counselor's approval, choose a speech of national historical importance. Find out about the author, and tell your counselor about the person who gave the speech. Explain the importance of the speech at the time it was given, and tell how it applies to American citizens today. Choose a sentence or two from the speech that has significant meaning to you, and tell your counselor why." Some picked JFK's inaugural speech, and some picked MLK Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech. It seems rather appropriate that they chose Dr. King's speech since today is his day, and our meeting was last Thursday! Thu, 12 January 2006 Gonna modify my web-site this weekend, and I've gotten my iRiver working ... at least a little bit. So, I am going to test some "dummy" shows to test it out. I've also started listening to a few new podcasts:

Tue, 10 January 2006 Yeah, I know didn't update my website like I said I was, sorry! I'm liking my new intro but I might change it slightly later on. I've been playing with iRiver, and finding out what I like or don't like it. I eventually want to do a mobile podcast, but I'm still testing the iRiver.

Thu, 5 January 2006 The second show for 2006 ... so in this episode I chat about the gym and why there are so many new members right now. Apart from that, I refuse to give blood to all the people asking me for it. In principle, why can't I give blood because I had sex with a man ... but a promiscuous straight man or woman can give blood with no issues. Lastly, one word ... elections ... I got a great link for everyone:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Senate_election,_2006
There are 17 democrats and 15 republicans and 1 independent up for re-election. So, we need to steal 7 seats away from the republicans and we can win back the Senate. Comments[6] |
Mon, 2 January 2006 On this episode I hope everyone had a great, fantastic, fabulous New Years's Eve, and I wish everyone has a fabulous Happy 2006.
I spent my New Year's in Provincetown (Ptown), MA and I had a great time! I even managed to get a little play when I was down there.
Deep Fabulousity is now a proud member of the Rainbow Pod Squad family of podcasts, and I've record my first episode as a co-host of Podcastique (episode 34).
I've ordered an iRiver which I'll be getting soon, and I'll be able to start mobile podcasting, and getting some great interviews.
Other than that I've started listening to RamRozi of http://www.fag101.com and it's great!
Then I covered some news ... Bush sucks, and his spying on U.S. Citizens is despicable. He claims he's spying only on the enemies of America when in reality it's just a way for him to spy on the enemies of the Neo-cons!
Oh yeah, the pope and the Roman Catholic Church sucks as always ... Pope Nazi-Fuck Palpatine Benedict ... can suck my snatch! Comments[7] |
Sat, 31 December 2005 Hi kids, this is absolutely my last blog post ... for 2005. Though I have 19 shows under my belt and #20 coming up ... Deep Fabulousity has joined up with the Rainbow Pod Squad. As a result, my web-site will contain pointers to:
http://www.rainbowpodsquad.com and they are now pointing to my site also.
I record my first episode of Podcastique with Nick. As you might, or might not know, Nick used to do Podcastique with Donna and Andy. Andy now does "Bay State Radio" with his friend Mike. Donna is/was a High School Senior and has to focus on getting ready for college.
From the previous Podcastique or Deep Fab episodes you know that I've gone out and met the Podcastique crew on a couple of occasions. Nick and I discussed doing Podcastique together, and I am sincerely honored and flattered to be able to join up with the Rainbow Pod Squad!
My new show which will be record and posted tomorrow from now on will reflect that "Deep Fab" is now a member of the RPS group.
Again, I am flattered and honored to be welcomed into this family of podcasters.
I am truly confident that 2006 will be a good year for Podcasters and Queercasters!
Thanks to AJ, Nick, Mike, Andy, and Miss Veva La Whore for inviting me into your family!
Sincerely,
Tom Holmes Jr. Category: general -- posted at: 6:36 PM Comments[7] |
